Arity, a mobility data subsidiary of Allstate ALL 0.00%↑, has agreed to acquire substantially all the assets of INRIX, a Bellevue, Washington-based provider of transportation intelligence and mobility analytics.

The transaction is expected to close later in 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. Financial terms were not disclosed. Arity, founded in 2016 and based in Chicago, analyzes more than 3 trillion miles of driving-behavior data to produce predictive insights on risk and driver behavior for insurers, marketers and public-sector customers. INRIX, which emerged from Microsoft MSFT 0.00%↑ in 2004, supplies location-based traffic data, roadway analytics and mobility intelligence to public agencies and private companies.

INRIX, which pioneered location-based traffic data, was purchased by Allstate company Arity (INRIX).

Arity President Gary Hallgren said transportation operates as one connected system, yet the intelligence used to understand it remains fragmented across industries and data sources. Combining Arity’s insights on driving behavior and risk with INRIX’s transportation analytics will provide a fuller view of how people, vehicles, goods and roads interact, he said.

INRIX co-founder and CEO Bryan Mistele said the company has spent more than two decades helping customers make better transportation decisions. Pairing that expertise with Arity’s mobility data and advanced analytics creates an opportunity to improve transportation effectiveness and efficiency for customers in both the public and private sectors, he said. Over its history, INRIX raised more than $288 million and at times explored going public before remaining independent until this deal.
