Targeting Automakers, HERE, TomTom Unveil SDV Products at IAA Mobility

Mapping rivals HERE Technologies and TomTom recently made big software-defined vehicle (SDV) announcements at IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich. HERE, with Amazon Web Services (AWS), introduced the SDV Accelerator, a cloud-based platform marketed to automakers to fast-track SDV development by reducing R&D costs and streamlining workflows.

The platform provides solution guidance, sample code, and a curated catalog of AWS Marketplace tools and partner offerings. It also integrates HERE’s mapping and location technologies. “The SDV Accelerator represents a breakthrough solution to the automotive industry’s most pressing challenge: getting innovative vehicles to market faster,” said Ozgur Tohumcu, general manager of automotive and manufacturing at AWS, in a statement.

Currently, AWS and HERE’s SDV ecosystem partners include ArmElektrobitFORVIAMicware and Panasonic.
