TrustPoint and Calian Validate Mass-Market C-Band Antenna for LEO Satellite Navigation
TrustPoint and Calian have successfully demonstrated the industry’s first commercially manufacturable C-band GNSS antenna using a live orbital signal. Through multiple live-signal tests, the antenna acquired and maintained reception of TrustPoint’s low-Earth orbit satellite broadcast, validating a hardware path toward GPS-independent PNT, the company said. Operating in a less congested frequency band, the C-band signal offers built-in resistance to electronic jamming, reduced ionospheric error, and improved availability in dense urban environments. The milestone supports TrustPoint’s broader U.S. Space Force contract to establish a full end-to-end operational constellation targeting initial services within 12 months.

Trimble Launches High-Precision Positioning Network Across Austria to Boost Automation
Trimble TRMB 0.00%↑ has expanded its Trimble VRS Now correction service into Austria, delivering nationwide, sub-centimeter-level positioning accuracy via cellular networks. The real-time service uses a redundant network of fixed reference stations, allowing operators in surveying, smart agriculture, and autonomous robotics to achieve rapid high-accuracy positioning without setting up physical base stations on-site.

By tracking full satellite constellations, the system provides dependable coverage across challenging environments, including steep alpine terrain, heavy tree canopy, and urban areas, the comapny said. The subscription-based service is compatible with both Trimble and third-party satellite navigation hardware, eliminating the capital expense and theft risks associated with traditional field base stations.
In other company news, Trimble has announced a new configuration of the Trimble Earthworks grade control platform for excavators, using dual DA2 GNSS receivers.

Woncan and Swift Navigation Partner to Deliver Smartphone-Connected RTK Positioning
GNSS hardware maker Woncan and Swift Navigation have partnered to bundle Woncan’s LiteSurvey receivers with Swift’s Skylark precise positioning service. The joint solution gives field professionals in construction, forestry, GIS mapping, and utilities a phone-connected real-time kinematic workflow that delivers centimeter-level accuracy out of the box, the companies said. By delivering corrections directly over a mobile smartphone connection, the integrated system eliminates the need for field teams to set up or maintain local physical base stations. The service is available across North America, Europe, and Asia.

PlanetiQ Expands Commercial Weather Satellite Constellation With Launch of GNOMES-10
PlanetiQ has successfully deployed its GNOMES-10 satellite into orbit to expand its constellation of high-precision weather and atmospheric sensors. Launched aboard SpaceX’s Transporter-18 mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base, the satellite carries PlanetiQ’s fourth-generation Pyxis receiver designed to capture global navigation satellite system radio occultation data. The technology simultaneously tracks signals across GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, and Galileo constellations to deliver detailed measurements of Earth’s troposphere and ionosphere. The resulting high-resolution data will support numerical weather prediction, artificial intelligence forecast models, and space weather monitoring for government and industry clients.

QCraft Partners With HERE Technologies to Expand Autonomous Driving Across Europe
Autonomous driving technology developer QCraft has signed a memorandum of understanding with mapping platform HERE Technologies to accelerate the deployment of intelligent driving systems across European markets. Signed at the HERE Directions event in Munich, the agreement will integrate HERE’s global location data and lane-level mapping with QCraft’s navigation-assisted driving technology to simplify local validation for automakers. The collaboration builds on QCraft’s recent European debut of its QPilot Urban Navigation on Autopilot system during live street demonstrations at the Paris Motor Show.
In other HERE news, the company and Wherobots have formed a strategic partnership to enable AI agents to understand and make precise, deterministic decisions about the physical world.

Advanced Navigation Expands U.S. Manufacturing Operations in Huntsville
Advanced Navigation America, the U.S. subsidiary of global robotics company Advanced Navigation, is expanding its manufacturing operations in Huntsville, Ala., to build complex navigation hardware for defense and industrial applications. The new facility will produce strategic-grade fiber optic gyroscopes and laser velocity sensors designed to deliver high-precision positioning in environments where GPS signals are denied, degraded, or unavailable, the company said.

By establishing a dedicated manufacturing node in Alabama, the company creates a trilateral production footprint across the AUKUS nations of the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

Inertial Labs Launches AI-Powered Platform to Speed Alternative Navigation Design
Inertial Labs, a division of VIAVI Solutions VIAV 0.00%↑, has introduced a programmable development platform designed to accelerate the creation of alternative positioning, navigation, and timing systems for environments where GPS is jammed or unavailable.

The new INS-NV platform integrates an inertial navigation system with an NVIDIA NVDA 0.00%↑ Jetson Orin NX edge artificial intelligence module to host machine vision and complex navigation algorithms on a single unit. By combining tactical-grade sensors, a multi-constellation satellite receiver, and an onboard processor, the solution eliminates the need for developers to engineer separate computing hardware for visual navigation stacks.

PHY Wireless and Ubiik Partner to Deliver Private 5G Industrial Location Platform
PHY Wireless has partnered with private network provider Ubiik to launch an integrated communications and location platform for industrial, enterprise, and campus environments. The joint solution combines Ubiik’s private LTE and 5G infrastructure with PHY Wireless’s hellaPHY technology, allowing organizations to deploy high-accuracy location tracking directly over their existing wireless networks without building separate positioning infrastructure. By calculating location coordinates directly on the connected device rather than routing data through the cloud, the edge-based system reduces network bandwidth usage and cuts device power consumption by up to 10 times compared to traditional location tracking methods, the company said.
