Aeris Tops 100M Connected IoT Devices, Dominating Fleet Tracking and Connected Vehicles

Aeris has exceeded 100 million connected devices on its platform, with a significant portion dedicated to location-based services like fleet management, asset tracking and connected car programs.

Aeris has grown from 100k subscribers to 100 million in 14 years (Aeris).

The milestone highlights Aeris’ role in powering global IoT operations, where “users” primarily refer to enterprise customers and partners deploying devices for real-time monitoring and management, rather than individual consumers. Key sectors include transport and logistics with 9 million connections for fleet tracking, smart grids with 23 million smart meters for asset oversight, and connected vehicles with 35 million links enabling location-aware mobility services.

Customers span automotive manufacturers like Volkswagen for its CarNet system, electronics firms such as Murata for device monitoring, and logistics providers including DeltaTrak, which uses Aeris for vehicle and cargo tracking to reduce food waste. Other examples involve CargoSense for global asset monitoring and VisionTrack for telematics in fleet operations, underscoring the platform’s emphasis on location-centric applications.
