Vontier Agrees to Sell Telematics Provider Teletrac Navman for $220 Million

Vontier Corporation announced Wednesday it has reached a definitive agreement to sell a majority stake in its global telematics and asset management business Teletrac Navman to private equity firm Respida Capital.

The transaction values Teletrac Navman at $220 million. Vontier will receive $80 million in cash at closing, with the remainder in an interest-bearing seller note and a minority equity stake in the business. The deal is expected to close in late second quarter of 2026.

Teletrac Navman provides an end-to-end AI-enabled telematics platform for vehicle fleet and asset management. The company serves customers across multiple industries, delivering solutions for fleet tracking, safety, compliance, fuel management, and operational efficiency. It helps fleets operate more safely, sustainably, and productively through real-time data and insights.

Founded in 1988 as Teletrac and later merged with Navman, the business has a long history as a pioneer in fleet management technology. It offers GPS tracking, video telematics, electronic logging devices (ELDs), and advanced analytics tools that support both commercial fleets and government operations worldwide.

“This transaction reflects our ongoing portfolio simplification efforts and continues Vontier’s transformation into a more focused industrial technology company,” Vontier CEO Mark Morelli said in a statement.
