Dutch mapmaker says deal will affect millions of Hyundai Motor Group vehicles across Europe
TomTom has signed a multi-year agreement with Hyundai AutoEver to integrate its real-time traffic and newly acquired speed camera services into the navigation systems of Hyundai Motor Group’s European vehicle lineup. Under the expanded deal, TomTom will continue as Hyundai AutoEver’s map supplier while also delivering live services that list estimated arrival times, driver safety, and regulatory compliance, the company said.
The integration applies across Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis models, positioning TomTom’s data as a core software feature rather than an optional add-on.

Benoit Joly, senior vice president of sales at TomTom, said the expanded collaboration reinforces how automakers can future-proof their fleets and meet increasing consumer expectations for connectivity. “This demonstrates the tangible benefits of advanced, localized data — from more accurate ETAs and safer, smoother journeys to stronger compliance with Europe’s evolving road safety regulations,” he said.
Joly said that Europe’s mapping landscape is uniquely complex and highly regulated, which makes accuracy and localization especially critical.
“With dozens of countries, languages, and road regulations, maps must capture granular details like lane geometry, local speed limits, and signage to meet both consumer expectations and regulatory standards,” he said. “TomTom’s map data provides highly accurate, verified content for all speed limit types across Europe, helping automakers comply with Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) regulations that came into force in July 2022.”
