Advanced Navigation Unveils Defense-Grade Navigation Systems to Counter GNSS Threats
Advanced Navigation has launched a new line of inertial navigation systems (INS) featuring Electronic Protection (EP) technology designed to safeguard missions against GNSS jamming and spoofing. The new EP range includes the Boreas D Series — with D50, D70 and D90 models — and the compact Certus Evo, which are tailored to demanding defense markets, the company said.

The release follows Advanced Navigation’s plan to open PNT Centers of Excellence in the United States, United Kingdom and Europe, reinforcing its partnerships with NATO forces and defense technology companies, the company said. Available globally and free of ITAR restrictions, the Boreas D50, D70, D90 and Certus Evo systems are ready to ship immediately.

NextNav Advances Commercial Roll-Out of 5G-Enabled 3D PNT Platform
NextNav NN 0.23%↑ has reached a key milestone toward bringing its terrestrial 3D positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) solution to market, successfully demonstrating compatibility with standard 5G equipment leveraging Positioning Reference Signal (PRS) technology, the company said. NextNav completed trials with 5G base stations from Lekha Wireless Solutions in the lower 900 MHz spectrum band, achieving accurate timing and positioning alongside data transmissions, the company said.

U-blox Introduces Firmware-Upgradeable GNSS Module
Thalwil, Switzerland-based u-blox has launched the UBX-M10150-KB chip and the MAX-M10N module, the first entries in its M10 platform designed for firmware upgrades and ultra-low power consumption, the company said. With the new SPG 5.30 firmware, the hardware supports the Low Energy Accurate Positioning (LEAP) mode, reducing power use by up to 50 percent while delivering meter-level accuracy and support for sub-meter performance via RTCM corrections, the company said.

Both products include lifetime access to AssistNow predictive and live orbit services and are now available as engineering samples ahead of full availability later this month. The upgradeable architecture offers a future-proof GNSS solution for battery-powered devices including vehicle trackers, wearables, and IoT applications, the company said.

iNavi Systems, TomTom Unveil Advanced Mapping Platform to Expand Across APAC
INavi Systems, a subsidiary of THINKWARE specializing in mobility and autonomous driving map solutions, unveiled its next-generation navigation app built on TomTom’s Orbis maps and real-time traffic data. The collaboration aims to offer an alternative to Google Maps by delivering highly localized, high-performance map data and APIs tailored for Taiwan and the broader Asia-Pacific region. INavi plans to roll out the service starting in Taiwan in 2025 and expand across APAC in 2026, targeting sectors such as mobility, logistics and smart cities.

GEODNET and UTTO Form Alliance to Advance Utility Mapping
GEODNET, with more than 20,000 active stations globally, has announced a partnership with underground utility mapping specialist UTTO to deliver centimeter-level positioning accuracy for mapping and infrastructure operations, the company said.

Under the agreement, UTTO’s vLocate Mapper devices and related solutions will integrate GEODNET’s triple-band RTK correction services out of the box, the company said. This will provide utility operators with location data without the need for manual RTK configuration.

Ceva First IP Provider to Clear Bluetooth 6.0 Channel Sounding Qualification, Boosting High-Precision Location Tech
Ceva CEVA 5.73%↑ has announced it has achieved Bluetooth 6.0 qualification with channel sounding support, the first such vendor in the IP market, advancing secure, high-accuracy positioning for edge devices. The milestone, supported by more than 10 customers, enables decimeter-level accuracy and robust protection against relay and spoofing attacks in automotive digital keys, asset tracking and industrial automation applications, the company said. By combining its Bluetooth 6.0 IP with NeuPro NPUs for on-device AI, Ceva said it is positioning itself as a single vendor capable of enabling wireless connectivity, spatial intelligence and edge-AI workflows.

Teltonika Telematics Tops Wialon’s 2025 GPS Hardware Manufacturer Rankings
Teltonika Telematics has been named the No. 1 GPS hardware manufacturer of 2025 by fleet-tracking platform Wialon, marking the fourth consecutive year the company has led the list. The annual ranking identifies the ten manufacturers whose devices were most frequently connected to Wialon’s platform over the preceding 12 months.

The full Top 10 list also includes ST SUNLAB, Jimi IoT, Ruptela, iStartek, WanWayTech, Howen Technologies, Streamax Technology and SEEWORLD Technology.
