Geo Week 2026 Spotlights Positioning Tech Advances Amid Record Turnout

DENVER—Geo Week 2026 wrapped up in Denver with a flurry of product launches and partnerships in the geospatial industry, highlighting innovations in GNSS, lidar and remote sensing that aim to tackle challenges in construction, surveying and infrastructure monitoring. The three-day event, which attracted a record 3,200 attendees from 25 countries, featured 238 exhibitors showcasing everything from handheld scanners to AI-driven digital twins, setting the stage for next year’s move to Salt Lake City.

Trimble displayed its MX60 at Geo Week (Kevin Dennehy).

At the conference, Topcon Positioning Systems and Fixposition announced they would collaborate on integrated technology for future products. Fixposition has been integrating Topcon RTK corrections into its Vision-RTK sensors since 2023, when the companies announced an agreement providing Fixposition customers in North America and Europe with access to the Topnet Live RTK corrections service network.

Topcon has introduced the CR-S1, a handheld scanning system (Topcon Positioning Systems).

Topcon Positioning Systems also displayed its recently launched CR-S1 handheld scanning system, expanding its portfolio of capture reality technology for the construction and surveying industries. The new device integrates lidar, panoramic cameras, and visual SLAM technology into a single unit designed to improve data collection in complex environments like tunnels, mines, and forests.

Stephanie Dockstader, Esri’s new director of imagery and remote sensing solutions. and other company executives were at Geo Week. On several panels, the company discussed how GIS and imagery are foundational for building living digital twins and driving AI-based workflows.

In other Geo Week news:

  • GeoCue has introduced the TrueView GO NEO, a handheld SLAM lidar scanner, which is designed to make high-density indoor mapping easier in corridors, stairwells and other GNSS-challenged environments. The new unit pairs with a smartphone and delivers up to 1.15 million points per second with an ultra-wide field, the company said.
  • Aerial Surveys International, in partnership with Polygon Solutions and Urban Hawk, launched and demonstrated the TrinityGeo 3D infrastructure monitoring product at Geo Week 2026.
  • Yellowscan rolled out its Venturer NDAA-compliant lidar for survey markets.
  • CHC Navigation rolled out its CHCNAV RS7, designed to help professionals capture high-density 3D data and convert it into deliverables through CHCNAV’s software and cloud ecosystem.
