TomTom, Transit Technologies partner to improve fleet routing
TomTom and Transit Technologies announced a partnership to integrate TomTom Orbis Maps and Live Traffic into fleet and logistics solutions. The collaboration will bring real-time routing intelligence to transit, paratransit, and non-emergent medical transportation networks across the United States and Central America.

By incorporating high-precision map data and live traffic awareness, the updated platform aims to help agencies make informed routing decisions and avoid unexpected delays, the company said. The technology is designed to assist transportation providers in dynamically adjusting to real-world road conditions and keeping communities connected, the company said.

Swiss Chipmaker Introduces Ultra-Low-Power Tracking Platform for Wearables and IoT Devices
Thalwil, Switzerland-based u-blox has launched its new F11 semiconductor platform, delivering high-performance satellite tracking capabilities with drastically reduced power consumption. Headlined by the UBX-F11270-KB and UBX-F11170-CC GNSS chips, and the EVK-F112 evaluation kit, the platform is designed specifically to extend the battery life of small, energy-constrained devices like consumer wearables, asset trackers, and industrial IoT nodes, the company said.

By optimizing signal processing architecture, the chip minimizes battery drain during continuous location tracking without sacrificing positioning accuracy or speed, the company said.

HERE Technologies Partners with Cariqa to Link Electric Vehicle Navigation and Charging Payments
HERE Technologies has announced a partnership with Berlin-based electric vehicle payment infrastructure provider Cariqa. The software integration links Cariqa’s direct payment services with HERE WeGo, a free mobile navigation app and journey planner. The collaboration is designed to bridge a long-standing gap in public EV charging by allowing motorists to locate charging stations, view upfront pricing and handle transactions within a single, continuous user flow, the company said. During the initial European rollout, HERE WeGo users can discover participating charging stations and view real-time pricing set directly by the charge point operators without reseller markups, the company said.

Garmin Unveils Axis Integrated Flight Displays for General Aviation Cockpits
Garmin International GRMN 0.45%↑ has introduced its next-generation Axis flight display system, offering deeper hardware integration and enhanced situational awareness for pilots. The newly developed avionics platform consolidates primary flight information, navigation mapping, and engine data into a single ultra-high-definition touchscreen interface.

By eliminating multiple standalone cockpit instruments, the lightweight system reduces pilot workload while significantly lowering installation weight and wiring complexity for aircraft manufacturers. Aviation operators can customize the scalable flight decks to match a wide variety of airframes, with initial commercial deliveries scheduled to begin later this year, the company said.

Latin American Fleet Management Market Projected to Double to 20.6 Million Active Units by 2030
The total number of active fleet management tracking systems deployed in commercial vehicle fleets across Latin America is projected to double over the next four years, reaching 20.6 million operational units by 2030. According to a new industry report published by analyst firm Berg Insight, the market is expanding at an annual growth rate of 15.2 percent from an installed base of 10.2 million units at the end of 2025. The regional landscape remains highly fragmented, with the top five solution providers—led by platform developers Gurtam and Geotab—accounting for just over one-fifth of the active market. The remaining top-5 solution providers in Latin America are MICHELIN Connected Fleet, Ituran and Powerfleet, the report said.
